What time do Gates Open

Gates open at 11.00am
Bars open at 12.00pm

What time is the first race?

Times wont be confirmed until early December but based on previous years we're looking at 12.15pm for all the exciting action to kick off.

Can I BYO Alcohol?

No, you can't.
You can bring most things on site with you including the Kitchen sink but Alcohol, Drugs, Weapons or the like will not be tolerated. Security will be checking all bags, chilly bins upon entry to the course.

Security have the right to refuse access to anyone attempting to break the rules!

Why am I being Wristbanded?

Everyone over the age of 18 will be wrist banded as they enter the course. Security will carry out ID checks at the gates.

Security, Montana, Kerr & Ladbrook and Waikato Racing Club representatives also have the right to ask for ID again once you are on premise.

No Wristband = No Service.

Can I set up a Bar Tab?

You certainly can! These need to be set up prior to the event to avoid delay's on the day.

This form and the menus will be sent directly to you prior to the event. Then all you will need to do on the day is collect your tab card from the bar when you arrive, and you will be good to go.

Why is my alcohol being served in plastic?

Due to the size and nature of the event in the interests of safety plastic vessels are used in most areas on course.

We know Glass has a classier feel to it, but we'd hate for you to stand in broken glass, or even worse yet for one our equine athletes to do so.

Eftpos Services available at bars?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring cash however cash as it speeds things up at the bar and you'll need it to place a bet!

Cash will be available in the Race Day Office, Main Lawn Tote and Public Village.

General Admission tickets

Once you've purchased your ticket, a PDF ticket will be emailed to you. If you're over 18 this will be exchanged for a wristband at the gate.

There is no guarantee that we will have GA tickets at available at the gate this year. We didn't in 2019 so please purchase in advance to avoid missing out

NO Wristband - no service at the bar.

I have received my lanyards, do I still need to bring my tickets on the day?

Definitely! You exchange your tickets at the gate on arrival for wristbands. Your wristband allows you to be served at the bar, and your lanyard gains you access to the area.

NO Lanyard - No Entry.
NO Wristband - No Service.

Is there a Dress Code?

We don't have a course wide dress code, but some areas do have standards that need to be adhered to.

I haven't got my tickets?

Your tickets will be sent electronically through email with a link to your tickets and a receipt for purchase once payment was processed. Scroll to the bottom of the email and you will find a link to download your tickets.

This email can sometimes go to spam/junk. Check there first, if you still can't locate it please contact us

Do you cater for dietary's?

We certainly do. Our food vendors in the Public precinct will have a range of options to suit everyone.

If you are in a corporate zone we ask that you contact us to let us know any allergies by 1 December. Most menus already have GF, DF options included.
