New Zealand Bloodstock breeze ups at Te Rapa24 Oct 2019

On Monday and Tuesday this week we were privileged to host New Zealand Bloodstock and vendors at Te Rapa. Nearly 400 horses took to the track for timed and recorded exhibition gallops ahead of the 2019 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run 2yo Breeze Ups.

This was the 19th running of the breeze up’s held at Te Rapa since the sale was introduced as the Ready to Run sales. Prior to this the Horses in Training Sale was held at Te Rapa in 1983 through to 1985.

This is a proven high class sale of 2yo's with a number of recent star performers including Cox plate aspirant Te Akau Shark. Over the past decade there has been Future stallions including Mongolian Khan and Turn Me Loose as well as Group One winners in Gingernuts, Vin De Dance, Beat The Clock, Atlante and Hall of Fame to name a few.

We look forward to seeing these horses head to Karaka and being sold to their future owners. We’ll be checking back to which horses return to Te Rapa to compete for some of our feature races over the next couple of years.

The sale is at Karaka from the 20th - 21st of November and details on each lot and their recorded time can be found here - https://www.nzb.co.nz/sales/sale.cfm?ordered=lot&sort=asc&sale_id=212
