Easy debut win for Anneofpaisley21 Jul 2019

Anneofpaisley franked her trial form when she made it a winning debut, taking out the $10,000 U S Navy Flag Foxbridge Plate August 17 (3yo Maiden) over 1200 metres on Saturday.

The three-year-old filly was a trial winner last month at Avondale, and that form strengthened with the trial placegetter was a close second last week.

Sent out third favourite of a field of eight, rider Sam Spratt settled the daughter of Ekraar midfield from barrier six but trapped three wide albeit out of trouble.
Soon after turning for home Mr Pickles tackled pacemaker Making Waves, while Anneofpaisley loomed three wide at the point of turn, but once Spratt gave a few shakes of the reins, it became increasingly clear the chasing pack would have their jobs cut out.
Anneofpaisley just kept racing away to hold the next best, favourite Parisian (R.Jones) by over two lengths, My Superior Girl (A.Calder) a short head back in third.

Anneofpaisley’s winning time was 1:14.24 (last 600m in 37.03) on a Heavy10 track.

The chestnut filly was bred and raced by the estate of the late L Tritt and trained by Natalie Tanner at Pukekohe.
