COVID 19 update 4th October7 Sep 2021

COVID-19 update as at 4th October 2021

UNDER ALERT LEVEL 3

The wellbeing of our customers and staff is our number one priority.

For more information and advice, visit the Ministry of Health website here - https://www.health.govt.nz/

THE OFFICE

The Office is closed at Level 3 unless for essential meetings.

All non-essential face to face meetings will be conducted via phone or video call until further notice. Drop in meetings and sales calls will not be accepted.

All visitors will be asked to sanitize their hands at the sign in location and masks must be worn

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we ask that those coming on site to Te Rapa Racecourse take the following steps:

- Do not come on site if you are feeling unwell
- Wear a mask
- Ensure you follow good hygiene practices such as:
covering coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or coughing/sneezing into your elbow disposing of used tissues appropriately in a bin, washing hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and drying them thoroughly, or using hand sanitiser.

EVENT CENTRE

The Event Centre is CLOSED at Level 3. All events scheduled in this time will be contacted by the events team to reschedule when it suits.

If you have an Event planned that you want to postpone and haven't already spoken to a member of our team please get in contact [email protected] to discuss all options.

RACING CENTRE

The Waikato Racing Club (WRC) is set to race on Saturday 25th October .

We will be strictly following the Government and NZTR guidelines around racing if we are still at Alert Level 3. The race meeting will be a CLOSED DOOR meeting with only essential staff and license holders on site.

Participants are reminded of their obligations.

STABLE STAFF
Please advise by 1pm on Friday 24th October the name and cell-phone number of your staff that are working on the day. If a stable staff member is not notified to the Club that person WILL NOT be admitted to the course. A stable hand licence on its own will not gain entry. Staff must be nominated by the trainer for whom they are working.

Please notify Charlotte Mooney via txt 0275 105 818 or [email protected]

QUESTIONNAIRE
Please also give them a copy of the COVID-19 Health Screening Questionnaire which needs to be filled in by you and your staff on race morning and handed in to our people at the Checkpoint on the gates. Doing this will speed up entry rather than having to complete the forms at the Checkpoint. This is particularly helpful if you are in a horse float otherwise it will have to stop whilst a questionnaire is completed. Please note that the Questionnaire is relevant to that particular raceday to ensure that the person is fit and healthy to attend the races. It is irrelevant if a form has been completed previously or at another race meeting.

LICENCE
MOST IMPORTANT. Make sure that you and your staff have their NZTR 2021/22 Licence with them. No licence no entry. It would be a good idea to have them on a lanyard so as to be easily visible.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE

Please use the Float Entrance on the Ken Browne Drive entrance. A reminder that the Sir Tristram entrance directly off Te Rapa straight is permanently closed

On arrival the Health Declaration Forms will be collected and you will be required to sign in via a security officer or scan the government QR code.

COLLECTING SADDLES & SADDLE CLOTHS
Trainers and staff are required to not enter the Weigh-In room unless essential.

Saddles & Saddle Cloths will be located for collection in the RACEDAY OFFICE

MASKS
• You are requested to source your own personal mask before coming.
• Masks must be worn at all areas in the racecourse.
• Failure to wear a mask according to the regulations will result in expulsion from the race meeting.
