Help us #CompleteTheFleet

We will be doing our bit to support the fundraising drive by the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust this Saturday.

Alongside some of our epic business partners we have assembled a huge raffle, with all proceeds going to the trust as they fundraise for their 10th and final Horse Ambulance.

Purchase tickets from the race day office and keep an eye out for our gold coin collectors around the course.

An ambulance will be situated near the parade ring so please go meet Jo Starr from the trust and explore this revolutionary asset for the equine industry.

Prizes announced so far include -

A year's membership to Stride Racing Club worth $590

Stride Racing strive to "open the gates to an exciting new racing experience"
This is an immersive experience that will connect you to the heart of the industry—the community, the horses, the stud farms and the people who make racing about much more than a sport.

Even better yet - you won't have to wait long to experience the benefit of the membership as you'll be back on track on May 22nd to watch your Marsh Racing trained horse Baby Face contest the 2100m event here at Te Rapa.

A date with a Derby winner

Te Akau Stud and Racing Stables have offered us a private tour & hospitality at the magnificent 3000 acre Te Akau Stud. This is a money can’t buy experience, a special chance to spend time with three of the industry’s highest achievers and leading personalities, David Ellis CNZM , Karyn Fenton-Ellis MNZM and Jamie Richards.

Arguably the star of the show & the highlight will be meeting Gingernuts. The stunning NZ Derby winner who unfortunately went amiss pre-race in Melbourne in 2017. The Group 1 winner was safely transported off track for veterinary care in a horse ambulance.

Now living a magnificent life in active retirement at Te Akau Stud, he plays an invaluable role giving confidence to the next generation of Te Akau stars during their education process and plays a prominent role promoting Life After Racing through on track appearances.
